Posted by Adminstator | 10:36 PM | , | 0 comments »

The Hitachi 37LD9700 is a mid to large sized LCD HDTV at 37-inches. The 37LD9700 has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels for 720p and 1080i HD formats at a screen brightness of 500cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 580:1. The 37LD9700 has a great look with it’s black and silver trim and can be had for a great price considering it’s size, at just under $1300 or £700. Inputs include 2x HDMI, 3x scart, DVI, component and s-video, along with USB and memory card slot.
A more unique feature of the Hitachi 37LD9700 is it’s motorized stand which enables the set to be swiveled or rotated from the press of a button on the remote control. This can be useful for directing the HDTV at different positions in the room for optimum viewing.
Cnet UK have taken a look at the Hitachi 37LD9700 and say, setting up is a breeze. The built-in digital tuner will automatically search for and store all channel info at the touch of a button , and while the menu system is fairly extensive and detailed.
Colors are brilliantly vibrant and well saturated on this screen, and at the same time transitions from light to dark are handled smoothly and gradually.
Both audio and visual performance is strong and this level of performance, along with neat touches like the ultra-wide viewing angle, remotely controlled motorized stand and elegant design, places the 37LD9700 in the top tier of mid-sized flat-panel TVs. You can’t go far wrong for the money.

Hitachi P50T01U Review

Posted by Adminstator | 10:34 PM | , | 0 comments »

The Hitachi P50T01U is a large 50-inch plasma screen with a great look. The P50T01U has a thin mat black surround with a stylish silver outer trim, which makes a nice change from the black gloss finish which 90% of HDTVs now feature. The 50-inch plasma screen has a claimed high contrast ratio of 10,000:1, a brightness of 1300 cd/m2 and a resolution of 1280×1080 pixels offers 720p and 1080i HD formats.

Connections consist of two HDMI inputs, component, three scarts, digital audio out, USB and SD cart slot for direct play back of photos (JPEG), CAM slot for use with the internal digital tuner. Unfortunately there is no VGA PC input, but use can use a DVI-HDMI adapter is you have DVI out on your PC.

The P50T01U has Hitachi’s Picture Master HD processing which has been customized to handle HD formats in their native forum, which enhanced fine details and colors while also reducing noise. The Hitachi P50T01U Review from TrustedReviews say, this colour management tool seems to work exceptionally well, as the P50T01U’s most obvious performance claim to fame is that it produces some of the most accurate and natural colours we’ve ever seen on a flat TV. The skin tones, for instance, shown by many LCD TVs look like poor waxwork imitations vs. those of this Hitachi.

The detail part of the Picture Master system also earns its keep, displaying high definition pictures with a sharpness and clarity that’s as good as anything we’ve seen from a plasma screen. Standard definition images, too, look crisper than is common on a TV this large.

Hitachi P42T01 Review

Posted by Adminstator | 10:30 PM | | 0 comments »

The Hitachi P42T01 is a large 42-inch plasma HDTV offering 720p and 1080i at a resolution of 1024 x 1080 pixels. The P42T01 is a very well designed set with a nice slim black gloss surrounding the plasma, with a solid base unit. The base unit / stand swivels and rotates electronically with the press of a button on the remote control to position the set for optimal viewing. The connectivity on the P42T01 is quite good, with two HDMI inputs (one on the rear, and one on the front) we would have still preferred two HDMI inputs on the rear, although a front port is always useful for quick connections. As well as HDMI the P42T01 also has s-video, component, s-video, 3x scart and USB for digital cameras. Cnet UK reviewed the P42T01 and say, The Hitachi P42T01 produced a very attractive picture. There was plenty of detail and pictures looked natural. Sound quality was decent overall. We could easily distinguish speech, even when there was background music or special effects.

We love the picture quality of the Hitachi P42T01, but we’re severely disappointed by the sound quality and the single rear HDMI. That said, if you’re buying a TV to fit into a home cinema where you’ll be using a proper Dolby Surround decoder, then the P42T01 would make a great center piece to that setup.
