The Mitsubishi WD-65831 is a DLP (Digital Light Projection) style HDTV and comes in at a big 65-inches and offers the full 1080p HD resolution. The WD-65831 also offers great fine picture and color control, and has been reviewed by Cnet where they say, we love the WD-65831’s looks, and looks aren’t something big-screen HDTVs generally do well. The highlight is the set’s extremely thin bezel around the screen, which allows this big HDTV to take up less room than the Sony KDS-R60XBR2. The Mitsubishi measures 58.5×40.8×19.8 inches and weighs a comparatively feathery 99 pounds. The cabinet is entirely glossy black, with a subtle strip of charcoal-gray speaker grille that runs along the bottom of the screen. Below that is a couple inches of pedestal base, rounded along the edges, with a flip-up door fronted by the Mitsubishi logo.

The Mitsubishi WD-65831 can produce a great-looking picture, but it takes a bit of work. After setup, we appreciated its deep blacks and solid shadow detail; clean, uniform picture; and sharp images from 1080-resolution sources. We would have liked to see better color accuracy both before and after calibration, but the myriad controls helped this issue quite a bit.

Mitsubishi known for award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, today introduced its new line of value monitors, the LDT321V and LDT371V (32″ and 37″ diagonal) LCD monitors designed for video displays and moving text in retail environments, movie theaters, information kiosks and other commercial venues. The LCD monitors offer more robust features than conventional plasma displays.

The LDT321V and LDT371V are perfect in store windows, storefronts or any venue where bright ambient light can cause a reflective glare on the monitor surface, which can diminish the display itself. With the Mitsubishi LDT series of monitors, video displays can be seen through windows with minimal glare, and LCD technology provides the depth and detail necessary for even the most demanding video environments.

“Our LCD monitors are designed to last longer and be more durable over time than regular plasma displays or regular flat panel TVs,” said Frank Anzures, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “Anyone who wants to show vibrant and clear images in a commercial environment should consider them as the solution of choice.”

Maximum LCD brightness and color purity in each unit translates into superior video output. The longer-lasting performance inherent in LCD monitors is also enhanced by a high contrast ratio, 1200:1, for greater detail and depth of image.

The LDT321V and LDT371V LCD monitors come with their own scheduling controls for easy planning of on/off, presentation timing, image changeovers and more. Accessing menus and control information through the RS232 connector is easy and efficient; Mitsubishi’s monitors can be controlled and observed using third party solutions.

Like Mitsubishi’s award-winning line of projectors, the new monitors offer proprietary color adjustment for precise color control adjusted for perfect color reproduction and control.

“Our new monitors make our whole line of large screen displays more robust,” said James Chan, director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “With the LDT321V and LDT371V, our dealers give their customers more options, even those with tight budgets. Now customers won’t have to compromise and use a non-LCD display for their applications.”

Pricing, Availability, Warranty

The LDT321V and LDT371V are available in August and June respectively at competitive market prices through authorized Mitsubishi dealers. The monitors will be covered by Mitsubishi’s new MEMO (Mitsubishi Express Monitor Onsite Service) Warranty Program, which brings extended service hours, longer LCD panel warranty coverage and onsite services and repairs to its large-screen LCD monitor line. The program features a dedicated toll-free 24/7 technical support line (888-593-9037) with reliable and knowledgeable US-based technical support reps for set-up help, problem solving and troubleshooting.
