It looks like Vizio has also been very busy this year and are showing off their latest HDTVs at CES. They have announced eight new plasma sets under their new VP series. This VP series can be broken down into three different classes, outlined below. Their top of the line offerings come in the form of the 50-inch Vizio VP504F and the 60-inch Vizio VP605F, which both have full 1080p HD plasma screens and Silicon Optix HQV Processing. The 32-inch to 50-inch VP322, VP422, VP423, and VP503 offer 720p HD plasma screen. Finally the Vizio Jive VP500 and VP501 offer an all in one home theater solution where the full 1080p plasma screens also offer a full Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound system.

Vizio have introduced their new “Black Tie” range which consists of the 42-inch Vizio SV42LF and the 47-inch SV47LF LCD HDTVs. Vizio have introduced a lot of new technology to this line, starting with full 1080p HD LCD screen with 120Hz processing, Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) to reduce judder and improve sharpness during fast motion scenes, along with a side mounted “HD Game Port” HDMI input.
Both the Vizio SV47LF and SV42LF have a 6,500:1 contrast ratio, a healthy selection of four HDMI 1.3 inputs, integrated ATSC / NTSC / Clear-QAM tuners and built-in Dolby 3.0 processing. The high performance LCD Black Tie sets also feature a slim and sleek frame with a brushed a brushed aluminum accent under the thin piano black bezel.
Vizio say: “The Black Tie series is just one example of the best-of-breed products VIZIO will bring to market in 2008 as we continue to offer consumers the widest selection of HDTVs with state-of-the art performance and features.”

Vizio have added two new models to their VU Series, which also also known as the Envy range. The 32-inch Vizio VU32L, and the 37-inch Vizio VU37L, join the existing 42-inch VU42LF model. Both sets have a 720p resolution along with a easy access side mounted “HD Game Port” with HDMI inputs. Other inputs include two rear HDMI inputs, component, composite and s-video along with an internal standard / QAM and HDTV tuner. They have a great looking design, along with a detachable base, for easy wall mounting, and 10-watt per channel stereo speakers.
No release dates have been set yet, but the prices have been selected.

Vizio is the leading HDTV produce in the US, and they have announced a whole bunch of new HDTV ranges. The Vizio Evolution series comprises of six LCD HDTVs, ranging in size from 22-Inch VO22L all the way up to a massive 52-inch Vizio VO52LF.
First up are the 22-inch VO22L, 32-inch VO32L, and the 37-inch VO37L which all offer a 720p support and resolution, while the smallest VO22L has a 1680×1050 pixel resolution, probably aiming it’s self for dual use as a great computer monitor also. The larger 42-inch VO42LF, 47-inch VO47LF, and largest 52-inch Vizio VO52LF all offer a higher 1080p pixel resolution for the very best image quality at these large sizes.
These Evolution models all look great with a slim, flat black finish. The 42-inch to the 52-inch all have a great offering of four HDMI inputs, while the smaller lot have two. Other features include a side access game port with HDMI input, picture-in-picture, zoom and freeze frame modes.

Finishing off with the new 2008 announcements Vizio has added four new LCD HDTVs to their existing VW series. The Vizio WV series represents a great budget buy, and are hugely popular in US. They have expanded the existing line up by adding two smaller sets, the 19-inch Vizio VW19L, and the 22-inch VW22L. These sets maintain the existing 720p resolution, and are intended for use with gaming and also computing.
Vizio have also added two larger, higher specification models to the lineup, by adding the 42-inch Vizio VW42LF, and the 46-inch Vizio VW46LF. Both of these sets offer a higher HD resolution for 1080p Full HD images to provide higher detail and quality. These sets also offer three HDMI inputs 1.3 along with ATSC / QAM tuners, a high 178 degree viewing angle and a removable base.
